Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Debut Authors Who Have Me Looking Forward To Their Sophomore Novel

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish, and I decided to share my list with all of you also!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Top Ten Debut Authors Who Have Me Looking Forward To Their Sophomore Novel. Shall we?

1. Tegan Wren

I will be reviewing Tegan’s debut novel, Inconceivable!, very soon! I seriously love her book and I cannot wait for her second! I will be all over her next novel!

2. Heather W. Petty

Heather’s first novel, Lock & Mori, was such a treat! Lock & Mori is the first installment in a three part series and I’m very excited for the second installment!

3. Nicola Yoon

Everything, Everything is Nicola’s debut novel and it was precious! I love when an author creates an unique cotemporary novel and she knocked it out of the park!

4. Andi Teran

Andi’s novel, Ana of California, was such a delight! I finished this book so quickly and I am eagerly anticipating her next novel!

5. Victoria Aveyard

Ok technically, Victoria has had other books released since Red Queen, but they are all novellas, so I’m going to count this one. Red Queen was seriously awesome and ended on such a huge cliffhanger! Luckily, Glass Sword comes out very soon….

6. Melinda Salisbury

I did enjoy Melinda’s debut novel, The Sin Eater’s Daughter. It was one of my top anticipated books of this year. I thought the concept was extremely unique and I had never read anything like it before. When I did finish this novel, I didn’t think there was going to be a second installment, which really bummed me out. However, there is going to be a second installment and I can’t wait to read it! The ending in The Sin Eater’s Daughter was atrocious! One of the biggest cliffhangers ever!

7. Moriah McStay

Moriah’s debut novel, Everything That Makes You, was a pleasant surprise. This book explored the “what if” factor and made it really unique in my eyes.

8. Mackenzi Lee

Mackenzi’s book, This Monstrous Thing, is a Frankenstein retelling! Who could pass that up? I know I couldn’t and I had so much fun reading this book!

Ok folks! Looks as though I only have eight different authors vs. ten! I have read many authors with YA debuts, but have had previous books published. I hope that you find some new authors today!

  1. I haven’t heard of some of these yet but I’ve heard great things about The Sin Eaters Daughter and the cover is beautiful. Also I did the same thing with Red Queen (I can’t hold them in my hand yet physically so do they really count?). My Top Ten
